Lifeway “Pitches In” with the Wood Family Foundation

The Lifeway family is committed to giving back and supporting our community. Every year we choose a different agency or group to sponsor that has a direct impact on the city of Chicago and the Greater Chicago area. This year we collaborated with the Wood Family Foundation’s Pitch In Mentoring Program.

Just recently launched, Pitch In is an after-school mentoring program that aims to provide families with the real and committed guidance they need to ensure and secure all opportunities that are waiting for their child. Lifeway collected employee donations to purchase gifts and fulfill the holiday wish lists of underserved children in the Lawndale community.

“I consider myself lucky to be a part of a program like Pitch In,” Amy N. Wright, Executive Director of the Wood Family Foundation, said. “The experiences that we share with our kids will stay with them from years to come.”

We’re excited and honored to be on board with Pitch In and support the efforts from the program’s implementation. We look forward to seeing the growth and progress each student makes over the course of the next few years.
